How We Manufacture

People. Process. Production.

Manufacturing is more than pressing a button, it begins with a conversation, or email, whichever suits.

Whether you need a quick quote for a regular ring binder or design spec for a new product range, Duraweld’s team is on hand to make that process easy.

Tell us what you need and we’ll design and make it!

We have been a customer of Duraweld for over 15 years. They have helped us with the development of our products with great suggestions on how to achieve the performance that we needed. Always helpful and try their best to accommodate our wishes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.

Manufacturing Expertise

Machinery Provides the Capability. People Deliver the Quality.

The right machinery is important, but equipment alone does not guarantee a quality finished product.

Our experienced operators understand how materials behave during cutting, printing, welding, wrapping and assembly. They know how changes in alignment, temperature, pressure and machine setup can affect the finished result.

That practical knowledge helps us maintain consistent quality, solve unusual manufacturing challenges and select the right process for each product.

In House Tool Production

30+ Years Experience Behind Every Tool

Duraweld continues to deliver a wide range of high-frequency welded based stationery, it’s in the name. The same passion for welded products and product versatility that PVC offers still continues to drive our business forward.

Our head toolmaker has been part of Duraweld for over 30 years, building an exceptional understanding of our products, processes and specialist tooling.

That experience supports the design, maintenance and refinement of tools in-house, giving us greater control over product development, repeat production, repairs and more unusual manufacturing requirements.

Quality Isn’t Claimed. It’s Repeated.

Quality isn’t measured by one carefully selected finished product. It is demonstrated by our ability to manufacture every item to the same agreed standard.

Every job receives the same care, attention and production checks:

  • Artwork position and print registration
  • Material, colour and dimensions
  • Tool and machine settings
  • Weld, cut and crease accuracy
  • Final appearance, packing and delivery

Our Capabilities at a Glance

We bring together a versatile range of manufacturing processes to create practical, professional products around your exact requirements.

High frequency PVC Welding

Strong, Clean and Consistent Welded Products

High-frequency welding uses controlled energy to fuse compatible PVC materials together, creating strong permanent seals with a clean, professional finish.

From straightforward document pockets to complex multi-panel folders, our inline and rotary welding equipment allows us to manufacture durable products with pockets, overlays, closures and specialist features.

Ideal for: Ring binders, document wallets, zipped pouches, clear pockets and encapsulated printed products.

Paper Over Board Manufacturing

Premium Presentation with a Strong Structure

Paper over board combines rigid recycled board with printed, laminated or specialist covering materials to create sturdy products with a premium finish.

The process offers extensive flexibility in size, print and construction, making it suitable for everything from branded ring binders to presentation boxes and sample folders.

Ideal for: Presentation boxes, custom folders, premium ring binders, slipcases and sample books.

Die-Cutting & Platen Production

Accurate Cutting for Repeatable Results

Our platen and die-cutting equipment is used to cut and crease board, card, polypropylene and other sheet materials into accurate, repeatable shapes.

Using purpose-made cutting formes, we can produce components with consistent dimensions, clean edges and precise fold lines, ready for assembly or further manufacturing.

This process is well suited to both straightforward and more detailed layouts, helping us manufacture products efficiently while maintaining dependable results across the full production run.

Ideal for: Presentation folders, polypropylene products, packaging components, inserts, display items and specialist cut shapes.

Flatbed and Roll-fed Printing

Direct Print for Rigid and Flexible Materials

Our flatbed and roll-fed printing capabilities allow us to produce high-quality graphics across a wide range of materials and product formats.

Flatbed printing is ideal for printing directly onto rigid sheets, boards and manufactured components, while roll-fed printing supports flexible materials, longer runs and larger-format graphics. Together, they give us the flexibility to choose the most suitable print method for the product.

Ideal for: Branded stationery, presentation products, polypropylene components, signs and display panels.

Digital Cutting, Routing and Prototyping

Test the Product Before Full Production

Digital cutting allows us to turn prepared artwork and product designs into accurate physical prototypes, samples and short-run components.

This gives you the opportunity to assess the size, fit, construction and overall presentation before committing to a larger production run or conventional tooling.

Ideal for: Product mock-ups, design development, pre-production samples, specialist shapes and short runs.

  • PVC Vinyl: Flexible, durable and wipe-clean, ideal for frequently handled wallets, pockets and ring binders
  • Polypropylene: Lightweight, water-resistant and easy to clean, suited to practical workplace products
  • Paper Over Board: Rigid, highly customisable and excellent for premium print and presentation
